I signed up for a tour called -Chianti and Castles
. It lasted about 6 hours. We toured three tiny towns. They were all enclosed with stone walls and watch towers.The entrance was so small we just knew our tour guide was going to lose her side mirrors- but she made it.

The first winery we stopped at also raised pigs- the Cinta Senese.
A very old breed found back as far as year 100.
This guy is pruning the grape vines.
The stone walls are built from the stones they take out of the ground as they plant the grape vines.

Finally we tasted the wine and olive oil...and the very expensive pig.
This is our tour guide and the guy that has art art work in his gallery.
This village is a watch tower that was built when Florence was trying to take over Siena.
Then off to the next winery with it's 100 acres of olive trees and grape vines.

Is that cactus growing in the 5th picture (I think it was the 5th one)? I never thought about Italy having cacti!
So what did the very old and expensive breed of pig taste like?
